Wimbledon Common

Notable for its association with 'The Wombles', this large open space and the adjoining heath connects with Richmond Park to create the largest green space within inner London. The Common begins adjacent to Wimbledon Village, an enclave of "town and country" with a semi-rural feel despite its proximity to Wimbledon, and its northerly neighbour Putney.
